Delicious Food & A Wonderful Eating Experience
It was the year 2010 when dreams became a reality. On the busy N4 route to Nelspruit, a farmer and his wife opened VIVA filling station and Kumi Restaurant & Farm Stall. They invited weary tourists to their piece of paradise on the banks of the Crocodile River.
With amazing views of St Paul’s reserve, visitors can expect to see giraffe, buffalo and zebra grazing across the road. If you are lucky the resident hippos might also make a star appearance. Just behind a line of trees the family has its own boutique orchard with Caracara blood oranges & naartjies that can be purchased at the Farm Stall.
Having to drive as far as you do to get to your destination is nothing better than a warm plate of food made with care. Being able to give travelers and locals food to make them think of their mother’s cooking only brings a smile to our faces and has become one of our main reasons to run a fully licensed restaurant alongside our farmstall. We have a playground for the kids, an ample deck space for parents to watch them from, or a dance floor set up. The pet farm provides a lovely distraction for the smaller ones and a braai area provides a great place to host self-catered events.
We do platters for events and will rent the venue out for special functions such as weddings, braais, birthday parties, and more.
